Why A Multivitamin Falls Short

Throughout my career I have frequently recommended a multivitamin to my clients as an extra insurance of good health. I recently discovered, however, that the research on multivitamin supplementation is considered too insufficient to prove the believed benefits. In fact, many multivitamins are synthetically made and difficult for our bodies to properly absorb in the first place. Not to say that there are no benefits to taking a multivitamin- They are definitely needed in cases when a person has as a specific vitamin deficiency or disease. But I could not help but wonder, is there a better answer to improve the overall health of my clients? 

I have since been searching for that answer and I was excited to discover Juice Plus! At first I did not see how encapsulated fruits and vegetables would give any greater benefit than actually eating more fruits and vegetables (something that I already promote). However, upon closer inspection I came to realize what a great dietary tool Juice Plus could be. No matter how "healthy" one eats, it is unlikely that you get a variety of 25 different fruits and vegetables every day.  Kids especially can be resistant to eating fruits and vegetables, which contain nutrients that are incredibly important for proper growth and immune function. 

What is Juice Plus?
Juice Plus is literally fruits and vegetables that have been picked at peak ripeness, washed, flash frozen to preserve nutrients, juiced, dehydrated and encapsulated.  The capsule form also contains vital digestive enzymes and probiotics which make them highly absorbable by the body.

So what is the difference between Juice Plus and a regular multivitamin?
Actual fruits and vegetables contain hundreds of components beyond just vitamins and minerals that work synergistically with the body. Juice Plus products maintain the components of whole fruits and vegetables, in an easy to swallow capsule or chewable.
